Ed Sheeran Announces New Album ‘Autumn Variations’

After weeks of teasing, Ed Sheeran has officially lifted the lid on his new album ‘Autumn Variations.’

Full story below…

Re-affirming the potency of his work-rate, the Brit-bred hitmaker made the announcement while still in the midst of simultaneous stadium and intimate venue tours.

Set for release on September 29, ‘Autumn Variation’ via Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records (in partnership with Warner Music Group).

Speaking on the LP, Sheeran said:

“Last autumn, I found that my friends and I were going through so many life changes. After the heat of the summer, everything either calmed, settled, fell apart, came to a head or imploded.

When I went through a difficult time at the start of last year, writing songs helped me understand my feelings and come to terms with what was going on, and when I learned about my friend’s different situations, I wrote songs, some from their perspectives, some from mine, to capture how they and I viewed the world at that time. There were highs of falling in love and new friendships among lows of heartbreak, depression, loneliness and confusion.”

Diving into his creative process of piecing the project together, Sheeran added:

“My dad and brother told me about a composer called Elgar, who composed ‘Enigma Variations’, where each of the 14 compositions were about a different one of his friends. This is what inspired me to make this album. When I recorded Subtract with Aaron Dessner, we clicked immediately. We wrote and recorded non-stop and this album was born out of that partnership. I feel he has captured the feeling of autumn so wonderfully in his sonics and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.”

He is so boring…. Bad habit and Shivers are his best up-tempo songs. Perfect, Thinking out loud, Visiting hours and Life goes on are his best ballads and that’s about it…

Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Her voice is terrible when it comes to acoustic songs since she has limit vocal range.

I don’t know how Ed Sheeran does it! Two years of non-stop touring, adding an album, mid-tour, and then another album the same year?!

It’s not like these albums are 1-2 good songs and the rest “B-sides” (like we used to say back in the day!), but every track is outstanding!

Not to mention, two babies at home. Honestly, the world is a better place with Ed Sheeran in it; my utmost respect and gratefulness to Cherry for supporting him to share his talent with all of us. That Ed can do what he does, day in/day out, is a blessing to us all.

I agree…Touring, kids, recording… he’s very focused and hard working.
That being said, hasn’t he just released an album in May ? 😐
